£25.00

Friday 1 May, 7-9pm

Drawing and painting session

The Centenary Hall, Sacred Heart Church, Essendene Road, Caterham CR3 5PA

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to draw or paint the Florian Ensemble as they rehearse for their Spring concert, or create something inspired by the music itself!

£25 per person, a selection of art materials and paper will be provided (but if you would like to work on a canvas please bring your own or request one from Alison)

Please note this is not a tutored session, but Alison will be on hand to help with anything you need.

The artwork produced will be displayed at a drinks reception immediately before the concert on Sunday 3 May, to which you are invited. Tickets cost £35 per adult, but if you exhibit your work you can attend free of charge as a thank you!

Sunday 3 May, 7-9pm

7pm Drinks reception and art exhibition

8pm Performance at St John's Church, Old Coulsdon CR5 1HA

The ensemble will be joined by clarinettist Jessie Grimes for Olivier Messiaen's seminal Quartet for the End of Time. Written and premiered in a prisoner of war camp in 1941, the music is a meditation on eternity and is always an unforgettably powerful live experience. The music will begin shortly before twilight and end after the sun has set.

If you are unable to attend the art session you can still book for the concert on Sunday 3 May via this link : https://www.ticketsource.com/coulsdon-music
